IN-HOUSE DESPATCH AND LOGISTICS

The Despatch department plays a crucial role in our business. It is the final link in the chain to achieving a happy customer and is responsible for managing the carriers to achieve successful delivery over the critical ‘last mile’. Our Despatch team has worked hard over the years building excellent long term relationships with our preferred carriers, ensuring reliable transport during the busy Christmas period.

We have interfaces with our carriers to enable us to operate with streamlined labelling and messaging solutions as well as the ability to offer next day deliveries in addition to a variety of other delivery options.

We have detailed tracking systems in place that enable us to respond quickly and with accuracy to our customers’ enquiries with relevant information such as current parcel location, number of attempted deliveries, POD and, where appropriate, delivery driver comments.

We work with FedEx, Parcelforce, DPD, DHL and Hermes and have the infrastructure in place to bring on board the vast majority of UK carriers. We are able to deliver internationally through a range of carriers. We also have our own fleet of articulated lorries, rigid lorries and vans with our in-house drivers delivering across the country.

Our no quibble customer service offering is a vital link in our customer’s journey and we place a huge emphasis on getting this right for every customer, no matter the size of the enquiry.

We have an in-house all year round Contact Centre resource and can provide a dedicated team to deal with your incoming orders. Our contact centre boasts modern technology and uses an advanced call management telephone system. If you require a customer services solution, we can also provide experienced resource to
deal with all of your customer calls and tracking enquiries. We pride ourselves on providing only the very best customer service, by recruiting only the best candidates.

Sales Solutions: Web Interface and Technology

Our no quibble customer service offering is a vital link in our customer’s journey and we place a huge emphasis on getting this right for every customer, no matter the size of the enquiry.

If you were to partner with us using our web interface and technology systems, we would receive, process and take payment via your existing website and we would interface directly with your ordering system to import your recipient and order information at regular intervals (e.g. hourly). This service would encompass:

  • Receiving all customer orders via electronic feed
  • Fulfilling, despatch and reporting
  • Uploading consignment information back to you
  • Order status reconciliation
